Because Antibiotic resistant bacteria hold on to there resistance for several generations after the antibiotic was used, we realized that there was no way to reuse old antibiotics. The bacteria now, are resistant to several of the most powerful antibiotics which can harm almost as much as they heal. we believe that if a new antibiotic is made that is an entirely new strain will be effective. the bacteria will have never been exposed to the strain before and will not be able to be resistant. this new antibiotic will have to be used only when is absolutely required and it is certain that the infection is bacterial and not viral.
